Toddler

The Toddler program is designed for children 18 months to 3 years of age. The Toddler community consists of confident, well-prepared faculty, to include one lead Montessori certified teacher and a full-time assistant, and, generally, 18 students per class .

Young children need a secure and loving environment that nurtures a bond with caregivers and family members. At this age, children explore the environment through the senses and independence is gained through language development and movement. The child brings order to their environment through practical life and sensorial materials. Teachers promote this process by allowing the children the freedom they need to fully develop their intellectual, emotional, and social skills. The method and environment provide the structure necessary for children to develop self-confidence, self-discipline, and self-motivation. This experience promotes interaction, creativity. and a curiosity for learning.

At HCMS, the Toddler environment is fully equipped with appropriate Montessori materials, nurturing faculty, architecturally designed classrooms, and a playground that meets the specific needs of small children.

Half Day: 8:30-11:30
Full Day: 8:30-2:30
