Recycling Schedule

Recycle!!! Bring your recyclable items to HCMS

WHEN: Refer to the HCMS Calendar for dates.
WHERE: School parking lot - back right-hand corner. Look for recycling trash cans and volunteers.
WHAT: Paper and non-paper items

PAPER ITEMS: Please separate papers into three groups:
White Paper
Newspaper
All Other Paper (magazine, junk mail, shredded paper, etc)

NON-PAPER ITEMS: Please separate non-paper items into the following groups:
Aluminum
Cans
Hard Plastics #1-7
Glass (unbroken glass only)
Cardboard & Cereal Boxes
Other Non-Paper Items

Recycling Guidelines:
Rinse food and debris to avoid problems attracting pests
Lids are now recyclable
Recyclable hard plastic items #1-7 (in triangle on bottom or side of item)
Broken glass cannot be recycled-please bring items in sturdy container
All types of cardboard are acceptable including cereal boxes, paper towel rolls, shoe boxes, cracker boxes, etc. Please make sure they are flattened and unsoiled.

Wal-mart and HEB do recycle plastic bags:
HEB's container is outside at the front of the store
Wal-mart's container is right inside the main doors near the greeter

Linda Myers manages our recycling program and would love to hear from you if you have any questions. She is always looking for volunteers to help with the collection and/or sorting of these items. If you are interested, please contact Michele in the office.
